For A Very Special Event For Cancer Patients & Survivors

We are so excited to continue our efforts to help, encourage and provide our Arts in Health programs to more cancer patients and survivors in Georgia. This time Feel Beautiful Today (FBT) will be part of a beautiful upcoming event with Delta’s Peer Support Group “Hope Thrives, Fly In”. The event will take place September 16 at the Delta Headquarters and they have chosen FBT to participate and provide two of our programs.
The Event
For the Delta event, we will be presenting 130 Hope Reigns Bells to patients battling cancer as a way of recognizing and celebrating their treatment milestones. FBT will also provide “The Warrior Within” photographic narrative exhibit, featuring 15 cancer patients and survivors from Delta’s Hope Thrives group. The Images above are some of the moments we captured at our first photo session at Delta Headquarters.This is one of FBT’s most sought-after programs and one in which the patients’ portraits and words will be displayed at the event to document their struggles and courage. This program is highly coveted because it allows patients and survivors to share their journey, redefine what beauty means, and humanize the cancer experience for others. The best part for the patients is that they receive their portrait as a gift after the event.
Who is FBT?
FBT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2010 to provide hope and encouragement through Arts in Health programs to cancer patients and survivors. More than 9,000 cancer patients in GA have benefitted from our programs; which are always free-of-charge to help improve the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors. Our programs are delivered in clinical settings, radiation and infusion centers, and support groups in cooperation with 15 of the top cancer centers in GA.
